What my child loves most about playing football is the sense of brotherhood and teamwork that comes with being part of something bigger than themselves. They thrive on the energy of the game the strategy, the physical challenge, and the adrenaline that comes from making a great play or supporting a teammate in a tough moment.
My child has been most inspired by his coach someone who not only taught them the game of football but also helped shape their mindset and character. This coach believed in them early on, pushed them to give 100% every day, and always emphasized that attitude and effort matter just as much as talent.
The moment that makes me proudest in my child's athletic journey came after he suffered a concussion. It was a difficult and emotional time not just physically, but mentally. Being forced to step away from the game he loves was incredibly hard. But instead of giving in to frustration or fear, my child showed unbelievable resilience and maturity.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
