Rayce loves playing baseball as it makes him feel alive. Whenever he steps onto the field, his heart races with excitement — whether he's swinging for a home run, diving for a ground ball, or sprinting to beat the throw at first base. His love for the team, cheering his teammates after a big play and learning from every win and loss. Baseball gives Rayce a place to push himself, have fun, and dream big.
Off the field, Rayce is inspired by his parents, who always support him, show up to his games, and teach him to stay humble and kind no matter what. Baseball gives him a place to dream big, push himself, and become not just a better player, but a better person. What inspires Rayce the most is watching other players, it reminds him that hard work and heart can make anything possible.
A time in Rayce’s athletic journey that made his parents proud was during a playoff game. His team was down by two runs in the final inning. Rayce stepped up to bat. The pressure was on, but he was calm, focused, and determined. On the third pitch, he smashed a double into the outfield, clearing the bases and winning the game. But that is not what made his parents proud. Rayce ran straight to his teammates, celebrating with them instead of bragging about the hit he had made. That is character.
