I love the challenge every game brings and pushing myself to get better. Defense is my favorite part—shutting down opponents and creating plays for my team is exciting. Most of all, I enjoy the friendships, teamwork, and lessons basketball has given me. It’s helped me grow as a player and as a person.
My biggest inspiration is my parents. They were both police officers working long and changing shifts, but they still found a way to be at every game and take me to every practice or training, even when it was two hours away. Their sacrifices and support taught me what real dedication looks like. On the court, I’m inspired by players like Jrue Holiday and Dennis Rodman for their defensive intensity and how they impact the game beyond scoring.
Over the past few high school seasons as I’ve watched Reese grow into a leader through pure dedication. She trained constantly often two times a day, extra workouts before or after practice to push herself further. But what makes me most proud is her selflessness. Reese is always supporting her teammates coaching them up, sending encouraging messages, and celebrating their success. Seeing her relentless work ethic combined with her selfless heart has been the greatest reward as a parent.
