Rhys first and foremost has always been a great teammate. He loves and plays all sports, but excels in Baseball. He lives and breaths it.

He loves the camaraderie. Playing with friends, making new teammates and meeting opponents from all over the world.
For baseball it would his grandpa and his dad. Both played very high level baseball and Mens fastball. They both influence what he does on the field and in the dugout. For Rugby it would be Robin MacDowell. He encouraged Rhys to try Rugby to get him bigger and faster for baseball. Robins love and passion of the sport is absolutely in infectious. Rhys quickly became a fantastic rugby player to take him to Europe and across Canada. And no other sport has the camaraderie that rugby has!
Probably this year. Rhys moved a province away in grade 11 to attend a baseball academy in Alberta. He’s had to learn to live away from home, find his own transportation, make 27 new teammates and friends, learn to live in a billet home, all while being successful on the baseball field and most importantly remain successful in school. He’s grow as a player, teammate and as a young man immensely this year.
