He loves catching the ball, but what he loves most is the rush of running it down the field and scoring touchdowns. Football is more than just a game to him it’s how he connects with his dad and builds unbreakable bonds with his teammates. Every time he steps on the field, he dreams of one day making it to the NFL. He wants to finish what his dad started, and even though his dad didn’t make it that far, he believes with all his heart that he will not just for himself, but for his family.
His dad inspires him the most. He’s his role model, showing him everything about football and life with tough love and endless support. His dad pushes him to be stronger and better than he ever was, to dream bigger and go further. He motivates him every day to grow, lead with strength, and become the teammate and man we know he can be.
One moment that makes me proudest was when Ricardo’s dad showed him how to run a play, and he did it perfectly cutting back, feet flying, and scoring a touchdown. Hearing the crowd yell, ‘Go Cardo!’ filled me with so much pride and joy. From then on, he kept shining, scoring at least three each game. He’s not just our star he’s my little boy turning his dreams into reality, and there’s no prouder feeling than that.
