What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Robert loves the thrill of competition, the bond with his teammates, and the constant challenge to improve. Baseball has taught him discipline, resilience, and leadership. What he loves most is stepping on the field knowing he has a chance to make a difference, not just with a big play, but by encouraging others, staying positive, and giving his all every inning. For him, the game is about passion, purpose, and team.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Robert is inspired by his coaches, teammates, and especially his family, who support him through every win and loss. He looks up to others who lead with character and work ethic, knowing that greatness comes from perseverance and humility. Off the field, he’s driven to be a role model for younger players, showing them that leadership means lifting others up. His inspiration comes from wanting to be the best version of himself in every area of life.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Robert once struck out with bases loaded in a tight game. Instead of sulking, he grabbed his glove, hustled to the field, and made a great catch the next inning. That moment defined him, not the failure, but the bounce-back. As his dad, I’ll never forget how he turned adversity into fuel. It wasn’t about the scoreboard, it was about grit, grace under pressure, and the refusal to let one moment define him.
