Rocco loves the competition, the team experience and learning every in and out of the game that he possible could know. He prides himself on sports knowledge and tidbits! He’s a big adrenaline guy— the thrill is real. Nothing better than feeling the sweet success with your team or having your buddies to walk with you through a tough defeat. It’s all about the relationships and the respect for the sport!
Dad, teammates and coaches. Pro players come and go year by year and of course he looks up to those guys and gals, but the true inspiration comes from the words that Dad tells him winning or losing and the team that surrounds him to make the sport fun. These moments become his inner voice.
The most proud of Rocco we’ve ever been is watching him lose. Now that’s not the usual proud moment that most parents have or would want to highlight, but he loses with integrity and respect for the sport. He shows immense talent in his emotional maturity when it comes to going through tough losses. The motto is either you’re winning or you’re learning. You never truly lose because the game or match is lost—you still gain experience or knowledge on what to do different next time, and that’s a W!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
