What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Rocco has built so much self confidence in such a small amount of time. He’s made so many new friends and learned that the rewards come with constant hard work. He’s learned to pitch and had several no hitter games. He was asked to be in the All Star Game even though it was his first year playing and was named Player of the Week twice on his football team for having multiple interceptions and scoring numerous touchdowns. He was also named as a Local Champion at the MLB pitch, Hit, Run event!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Rocco is inspired by his parents who each run their own company but also make time to cheer him on at every game and by his sister who has worked hard at competitive dance for 8 years. His coaches at Ozone Howard Little League, Riptide Athletics, BCAC and his pitching coach, Greg Modica of RPM have taught him so many life lessons as well as ways to build his strength and speed.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Rocco’s proudest moments include pitching a no hitter, playing in the All Star Game for baseball, being named twice as the NFL Flag Player of the week for Riptide Athletics Flag Football and having increased his pitching speed by almost double since April.
