Thank you for generously supporting Ronald in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
What Ronald loves most about playing sports is the competition. He thrives on proving that he’s the best. He’s extremely competitive and works hard to become the best version of himself. He doesn’t see limits or set boundaries on his abilities, he pushes himself to be great and to be recognized.
Ronald is inspired by his older brother, Jaiden. Even though they’re only two years apart, Ronald looks up to him and follows in his footsteps. When Jaiden started playing basketball, Ronald wanted to try it too, and quickly realized he really enjoyed it. The two brothers spend a lot of time together, often playing one-on-one. Ronald feels proud when he scores on his older brother, but more importantly, he watches Jaiden’s every move to learn from him and improve his own skills.
One of my proudest moments in Ronald’s athletic journey was watching him run his first 5K marathon in our city. He placed 3rd in his age group and finished in the top 20 out of hundreds of runners of all ages. He was so focused and dedicated, giving it everything he had from start to finish. Even though he didn’t win first place, he still earned a medal and achieved something amazing. That day truly showed how determined and capable he is, and it made me incredibly proud.
