My daughter is a team player not only on the field but off the field as well. She tries to spread kindness to others through her actions.

Rosalia lives and breathes softball. It has provided her with positive friendships and relationships with her coaches. Even when she is in a tough position, as she was this all-star season she tries to find the good in others. She also tries to find motivation in the challenges that she experiences so she can excel and be where she wants to as a player. She truly loves the games of baseball/softball. In her free time she will create her own batting order, or position and imagine how she'd coach.
Recently Patrick Bailey, the catcher from the Giants hit an in the park home run. She noted that they said that he'd been "struggling lately" and she has had a tough all star season this year. She recognized that and said that if he could do it she probably could too. Even prior to this she identified with him because she is also a catcher, and she is in the same place in the batting lineup as him currently. She thinks he is a good player, and it leads her to feel more confident about herself.
Rosalia's rec team was undefeated this spring and it was her second time taking home a season championship. However, this is not what I am most proud of. One of the youngest and least experienced members of the team was really pumped from that and said "I can't wait to play again next year." Rosalia was one of the top players on her team, and walked over to her teammates mom and said I'd really like to practice with her in the off season to help her get ready for next year. This made me so proud
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
