You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Ross loves being pushed past his limits to see what he’s truly capable of. He thrives on hard work, not just for the results but for the process. For him every practice, every game, every rep is a chance to grow. He loves the discipline that baseball demands. The long hours and sacrifices do not feel like a burden to him. Beyond the physical side of it, he loves how the sport connects him with others, he’s made so many friends who share the same drive.
What Ross loves most is knowing that his hard work can inspire others like he has been inspired. JD Thompson has been an inspiration to him. A few years ago, JD graduated from the same high school that Ross attends.. JD got a scholarship to go to Vanderbilt to play baseball as a left-handed pitcher. Last week he got drafted to the Milwaukee Brewers. He has been a great inspiration to Ross and many young people in our community.
What makes me the proudest about Ross on his athletic journey is watching him choose to be a leader. If his teammates spirits are low, Ross can pick them up. I am very proud to see his leadership on the field and in his school. He is a great role model.
