Thank you for generously supporting Ryan in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
He looks forward to the competition and camaraderie with friends all while growing and learning the game that he loves. Whether it’s out in the backyard playing Wiffle ball or on the diamond his love for sport and will to grow is never ending. Even when dads’ arm might be hanging.
This comes directly from Ryan, “Dad you inspire me! I then asked him why? Ryan said, “You take the time to work with me and are very patient, even when I can be tough.” Ryan then proceeded to tell me he also is inspired by Starling Marte on the New York Mets. I asked why him? Ryan said, “He plays the game hard and is always smiling! That’s why I smile on the field when I am playing.” I guess that’s great company to be in.
In Fall 2024, Ryan made his first travel baseball team, but just before the season started, he broke his arm falling off a slide. He was heartbroken—and so were we. We told him that true teammates show up, even when they can’t play. Ryan embraced the role, supporting his team from the sidelines. That winter, he worked hard to recover, and by spring, he was back—winning the league championship and making his first all-star team. We're so proud of his growth on and off the field.
