Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I hate to say it, but he tells me daily it's me, mom. He states watchin me overcome 3 strokes and the disabilities I've been left with. Says,Growing up and watching as I struggled to learn to walk and or hold a pen let alone write a sentence. The years it took me to hold a coffee cup without dropping it to now see me jump up and down on the sidelines, ride my bike to watch his and baby bro practices is what ryder says is his inspiration. He tells me, "ma you remind me that nothing is impossible

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When my son could no longer play his position as another kid was born into the position my son had played since the 1st year playing football. It was not at all fair and my son took the valuable lesson learned and the harsh reality of certain truths in life, with dignity and grace and stepped into a new position and played it and learned it as correct and fiercely as the position he dreamed to play. He shrugged and said, "guess God had another plan and a bad ass safety I've become."
