Ryder loves the grind. The feeling of pushing himself to get better every day, surprising himself with hard work and how it pays off. Sports are his life year-round, no off seasons. When he’s playing one, he’s working training for the next. All making him tougher, smarter, stronger! He connects with coaches who push hard, expect more, and believe in him. That fire to improve, to lead, to rise when it’s hard. That’s what drives him, That’s what he loves most!
Ryder says “My teammates inspire me. They’re not just my friends; they’re my defense, my offense, my open tight end. You know? We have to have each other’s backs, trust each other. They pick me up when I fall, help me swing, catch, push harder. We dream up plays together and believe in each other. And my Papa he’s my biggest fan. He says I’m the best, maybe just because I’m his grandson, but I carry that with me. He coaches me too, so I leave it all out there to make him proud!”
What makes me most proud is how Ryder never lets anyone on his team feel small. Whether it’s travel or rec, he’s the first to cheer, the loudest voice when someone’s down. I’ll never forget the time a kid got fouled but hit both shots and Ryder’s roar made it feel like we won the whole game. It wasn’t just about points; it was about lifting each other up. Those high-fives and “you got this” moments; those are the real wins, and that’s what fills my heart as his mom.
