Rylee loves baseball! Other than her commitment to making plays and getting hits, she plays to make her family proud. She loves working with her teammates and striving to get better together. She shows her desire to win with her teammates through her efforts at practice and during games. She takes pride in playing with high effort and will even stay late after practices to get extra reps . She is always hustling and allows herself to be coached up with a humble attitude.
Rylee’s mom, Erica, is an inspiration to her. Rylee said her mom inspires her because she is her “biggest cheerleader.” Her mom’s love and support on and off the field really drives her to do her best in all fields of life. She encourages Rylee to continue to push through even when she doesn’t perform her best on the field. She also find inspiration with her teammates and the work they put in together.
During a game, Rylee was the third baseman, she got hit in the chest by a groundball hit by an 8 year old twice her size. She got hurt but sucked it up, picked up the ball and continued to make the play. Next play, a fly ball was hit to third, Rylee caught it and got the out. Rylee is always determined to work hard through all the pain and mistakes to grow, learn and get better. Rylee makes us proud every single day.
