Rylie loves that dance allows her to express herself and tell a story without words. Dance is universal. She gets to push her body and discover all the incredible things it’s capable of. And dance is unlimited. She doesn’t compare herself to others, she strives to be better than she was yesterday or last week or last year. Always growing and encouraging others to do the same. One of her favourite parts of dance is all the incredible people she’s met along the way, from all over the world
Too many people to pick just one. She finds inspiration from friends and family and from the dance community as a whole. She’s secure in who she is and who she wants to be and those values have cultivated from the people she surrounds herself with and the experiences she’s had. She listens with an open heart when she’s offered words of advice and encouragement and she’s so grateful for everyone who has been a part of her journey thus far. One of the proudest moments I have would have to be when the mom of a dancer from another studio found me at a competition. She tracked me down to tell me what an incredible dancer they think Rylie is, but not just that; Her daughter got a chance to meet Rylie and told her mom she’s the sweetest person she’s ever met and couldn’t believe how encouraging and nice she was to everyone backstage, and how humble she is. This mom said she just had to find me. So what makes me proudest? Her character.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
