What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Rylin loves the thrill of competing, the joy of playing with his friends, and simply having fun. Sports are his happy place, a way to express himself, let go, and just be a kid doing what he loves.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Rylin said his biggest inspiration is his mom. Her prayers, strength, support, and constant encouragement push him to be his best. She reminds him that he’s capable of anything.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Last year Rylin broke his wrist in 3 places but never missed a practice. He stayed locked in and pushed through. The night before his final X-ray he had a home game, I told him he could play if he felt he could. He did and scored 3 touchdowns in their first win of the season. The next morning, he was cleared. That moment showed me his heart, strength, and faith. All glory to God.
