Thank you for generously supporting Sabrina in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Sabrina loves all aspects of soccer, such as learning new skills and positions, the lifelong friendships that have develped and will continue grow, the ability to have good sportsmanship even when the competition is fierce, and the confidence and leadership skills that she has gained and displays due to soccer! She hopes to get into and play soccer at a D1 college, and dreams of playing on the USWNT someday!
Sabrina's biggest soccer role model, inspiration, and favorite player is Alex Morgan. She understands that not only was she an amazing soccer player, but also a huge advocate for women's soccer. She also loves that a few of the USWNT players are from Colorado, like her, and makes it seem more possible for her to reach her dreams, like they did. She is also inspired by her father. He's played an integral part in her soccer journey by being her coach. He's tought her discipline, respect, and skills
One moment that made me extremely proud of her was when Sabrina and her teammates won the 3v3 National Championship in Vail, Colorado last summer. This was the 3rd year she competed in this tournament. Her and her teammates played against a team in the finals that they had lost to many times before, but Sabrina and her team trained and practiced day in and day out, with multiple coaches, privates sessions, and camps, and after a hard battle in the finals, they came out as the champs!
