Salématou is inspired by her uncle Moussa and her aunt Yayé, both on and off the track and family legacy.. Yayé showed her that strength, grace, and dedication can go hand in hand. She ran with heart and carried herself with confidence, teaching Salématou to chase her dreams fearlessly in sports and in life. She also wants to become a doctor just like her aunt Yayé who’s currently in med school.
The proudest moment was when Salematou finished her first big race without giving up, even when she was tired. She pushed through with determination and crossed the finish line with a smile in 1st place, it showed her strength, heart, and growth
