wrestling because it pushes me to my limits, physically and mentally. it’s more than just a sport; it’s a way of life. I love waking up extra early and working out, the brutal practices, the soreness that tells me I’m getting better. Every match is a battle that shows how far I’ve come. I’m not the most well known, but that’s what drives me. I want to prove everyone wrong, rise from being the underdog to someone nobody can ignore. Wrestling shaped me into who I am today
So many people inspire me. My dad pushes me to be better every day. My old JV coach taught me to go the extra mile. My mom always kept me safe and grounded. My wrestling partner pushes me to chase greatness. Wyatt Hendrickson, an unseeded heavyweight, showed me that anything is possible. One moment that makes me the most proud, is at state duals, where I had a match which was tied until the end, and put my opponent directly on his back. I didn’t get the pin but I helped my team out
