I love playing sports because they give me a sense of purpose and drive. Being on varsity as a freshman pushes me to always give my best, not just for myself, but for my teammates who count on me. I love the adrenaline of competition whether it’s a big hit in softball, a clutch shot in basketball, or a touchdown in flag football, there’s nothing like that feeling. Each sport challenges me in a different way. Flag football makes me feel powerful and quick, like I can outsmart and outrun anyone.
I look up to athletes like Serena Williams and Caitlin Clark. Serena showed what it means to dominate with strength and grace, and Caitlin changed the game for women’s basketball by proving that confidence and skill can break records and stereotypes. They make me want to be bold and fearless in my own sports. Sometimes my biggest inspiration is just the upperclassmen on my teams. Watching how they handle pressure, how they support the team, and how much work they put in it pushes me to grow.
My most proud athletic moment was when I scored 4 touchdowns and had 2 interceptions during my varsity flag football game.
