What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Saydi loves it when she can affect a game from the moment she steps on the pitch. Anything the team needs she able to contribute, whether it's setting up a teammate to score or shutting down players defensively, or anything in between. Saydi loves the challenges and helping her team rise up to concer any obstacles in their path.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Saydi has had two key mentors throughout her span of playing soccer. As an elite player it was difficult to relate to others in the area that have played at the national level. Saydi became friends with Lauryn Hutchenson and Lo Silver (both played in the World Cup). They were there to help coach her and be the role model that Saydi looked up to from day one.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Being selected to play for El Salvador’s national team and represent her country at the highest level. Traveling the world playing the sport she loves.
