Aroldis Chapman aka the Cuban Missile. He still throws over 100mph after being in the league 16yrs. He’s a lefty like Shane. Another lefty is Tarik Skubal who only had 1 college offer coming out of high school but is one of the most dominant pitchers in the MLB now for our hometown team.
This year we had a head coach that use to belittle kids. There was an incident with a teammate, one of the most well respected kids on the team. The kid was disrespected and I spoke up to go with the parents to the meeting with the owner & coach. I told Shane Jr. that most likely things may not be the same and the coach could take it out on him. He wasn’t phased and knew it was the right thing to do. The conversations we had showed me he’s a high character kid and knows what really matters.
