What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Shepard’s favorite thing about baseball is playing on his team. We’ve been blessed with a great group that celebrates all wins and pick each other up with their down. And making diving catches in the outfield is the highlight of his season so far.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My dad because he pushes me to be better and do better. And is always willing to practice catch, robbing homeruns and diving plays

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Shepard had a really rough tournament, didn’t field well or hit well but he took a day, gathered himself and worked hard the next tournament and earned himself 2 MVP medals from 2 different games for his work in the outfield. Playing in the outfield isn’t a glamorous at 8&9 but he’s embraced it and has shown himself and his team what an asset he is.
