Her coach and owner of EastEnd Lightning Track and Field, Coach Evans inspires her because he has taught her numerous things and methods to the sport. He has also, been there through everything for her since she joined the team when she was 5 years old. He also supports her success in anything she puts her mind too.
I have multiple moments but my proudest was when she was selected to be USATF’s track and field 8 & under girl’s Athlete of the year. My mother; Shir’Niya’s grandmother (a hug factor and supporter in Shir’Niya’s success) who passed away April 22nd, 2025 was able to witness this ceremony. By the way Shir’Niya has still been able to accomplish new measures with the difficulty of losing my mother.
