I love playing sports because of the people around me — my coaches, my teammates, and my family cheering me on. Every sport I play lets me meet new friends and learn something different. Game days are my favorite because I get to play hard with my team and have fun. My dream is to make it to the NFL or MLB one day, but right now I just love every moment — winning, losing, learning — as long as I get to do it with my team and the people I care about.
My family means everything to me. That’s why I work so hard in every sport I play. They help me practice, they cheer for me, and always tell me I can do anything if I don’t give up! My little brothers look up to me and try to copy what I do, so I want to be a good example for them. Sometimes they workout with me, and that makes me push myself even more because I want to show them how to work hard. I love training and playing because I know it makes me better and my family proud of me and me too.
One of my proudest moments is watching my young son realize for himself just how talented he is in so many sports. Seeing his confidence grow as he understands his own potential is incredible to witness. His self-discovery in each sport is amazing to watch as he excels with grit and determination.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
