Thank you for generously supporting Sophia in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
I think Sophia would probably enjoy the sense of growth and improvement the most. In sports, the thrill of seeing your hard work pay off—whether it’s nailing a perfect shot, getting better at her defence, or learning new plays—is such a rewarding feeling. If she’s passionate about basketball, I bet she also loves the challenge of constantly refining her skills and pushing herself to be better with every game.
Sophia is inspired by her coach, who not only teaches her the technical skills of the game but also instills important values like teamwork, resilience, and discipline. Off the field, she looks up to her parents for their unwavering support and work ethic, which motivates her to push through challenges. Their dedication and positive mindset fuel her drive to improve both as an athlete and as a person.
The proudest moment in Sophia's athletic journey was during the Prolific Sport House 3-on-3 competition when, despite being down in the final minutes, she continued to inspire her team to a comeback and still play there best. Her ability to stay calm under pressure, inspire her teammates, and make a key play showcased not only her athleticism but also her leadership and composure, making it a standout moment of growth and success.
