Sophia loves taekwondo because she can put her strength and agility into sparring. This is an outlet for her and as much as she gets, she gives in return. In this sport she has been suppored by her whole team and even other individuals that see how much effort she gives. She has shown dedication and enthusiasm for the sport of taekwondo.
Sophia looks up to Katie Taylor, but not just because she is a champion. She looks up to her because she let's her actions speak for her. Katie Taylor has kept herself humble and that is important to Sophia. She never wants to belittle anyone and neither does Sophia. It is important to motivate others around her.
I was proud when she won her first place at nationals, but it's the little moments that bring joy. When she's helping out the younger kids in class, when she holds back on sparring to give the other student a chance, or when she turns things down because she is dedicated to her sport. I am proud that she gives it her all and believes in her self.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
