“The thing I love most about playing basketball is the fact that I can just go out there and show what I work for every day and enjoy the results and competitiveness about it. I get to prove to everybody that I can hang with everyone and compete with my whole heart. It also gives me freedom and relaxation because I'm just simply enjoying every moment while playing.”
“My dad is my biggest inspiration on AND off the court. Since I was a kid, he pushed me every chance there was to go practice or even just getting shots up or going and throwing the ball outside. He is one of the main reasons I am where I am today, and the reason I am as good as I am. He gave me something everybody else dreams of having and I can’t thank him enough for it.”
“The most memorable moment was when his team (the Onalaska Wildcats)made it to the final four last season. Nobody thought that the small school would make it as far as they did. That pushed Spencer harder and harder to make sure he helped his team accomplished their goals! With the support of family and the community, Spencer and his team went so much further than anyone expected! It showed them, and our small community, what hard work truly could get them!”
