What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The competitiveness and fun for the sports. Steffi has tons of energy since she can walk and run, we started at kids gym classes and I could already tell she is an athlete. She adapts like a sponge, very coachable and takes in whatever is given to her. She is righteous and never cheated even if she losses, sometimes she is too hard on herself trying to perfect her craft. She loves to try different kinds of sports but tennis is where she mostly spends her time and energy on.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

As of right now, Alexandra Eala of the Philippines inspired her to keep on improving and not to give up. Stefani is half Filipino and have seen Alex's journey since she was also young, I tell stories about her and seeing her playing in grand slams and being the first ever Filipino tennis player to represent Philippines is a priceless opportunity to witness at this era. She like other great tennis pros as well.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I am very proud of her daily grind, though it's not perfect everyday she ends her practices with positivity and good vibes. She loves to compete and she does it with kindness and honesty both on and off the court - at her age of 11yo she would rather lose with dignity than win via dirty tricks that unfortunately we see in tournaments from other kids. So I believe she deserves to be the 2025 athlete of the year and I want her to know how amazing of an athlete and as an individual she is!
