Sports have always held a special place in Stella’s heart derived from her family’s deep-rooted passion and strong influence. She loves the teamwork aspect and comradery most. As a charismatic individual people are often drawn to Stella and she feeds off the energy of her teammates and colleagues.
Her Nana (great-grandmother) is her idol. She is captivated by her resilience, dedication, and perseverance that reflect Stella’s own life's challenges and inspires her to reach new heights in sports and beyond. Nana is turning 90 this year and brings Stella to almost all of her sporting events and never misses a performance, game, or show.
My proudest moment is when Stella encounters a challenge and pushes thru it to victory. Even in defeat she remains humble and is the first person to cheer on her teammate. I am reminded how strong and brave she is since age 1 when she had open-heart surgery. One example is her most recent victory, Stella won 1st place for the Petite Duo division in the World Nationals for StarQuest Dance Convention in Hershey Park!
