Sydney loves swimming because not only is she competing against the clock, she's pushing herself to improve and see what her body can do when its at its peak performance. Plus she loves spending time with her teammates and getting to cheer them on. Her dream would be to become a collegiate swimmer and become a PT for a college swim team. Or maybe even an Olympian some day.♥️
Sydney is inspired daily by her coaches, parents, teammates & the Olympic swimmer Abbey Weitzel that she met. She loves to watch Katie Ledecky and learn techniques from her swims on TV.
When Sydney has a swim that doesn't go her way, she has her moment to grieve it and then moves on to her next race. My most proud moment is when she earned her 1st SWAGR time- she worked so hard for that, for 8 months and finally achieved it for her 50 freestyle. Such an incredible swim. I am so very proud of her and her dedication to this sport. Not only is it an intense sport, it is a life skill that she will always carry with her.
