What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Tahj love the competitiveness of all sports. He loves a challenge & wants to prove to himself that hard work has to pay off. Tahj trains throughout the year to continue to develop his skills in all three sports. He knows nothing is going to be given to you. You have to earn it and put in the time/hard work to get better. Tahj finds great joy of course beating out his opponents in any sport! Tahj’s dream is to play professional basketball or football. He believes God first, anything is possible!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Tahj is inspired in football by Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. He loves their high IQ of the game, calmness when under pressure, competitive attitudes, and they both are multi winning champions!!! Tahj basketball inspiration is Stephen Curry. He loves his ability to shoot the ball anywhere on the court. Tahj also likes that Curry is humble in spirit and gives back in so many ways. Lastly, Tahj appreciates his dad for always being there and encouraging him he can do all things if he just believe!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Tahj is most proud of himself when he was unexpectedly chosen by his coach to step up & play quarterback in a championship game. The QB of the team couldn’t make it due to illness. Tahj had been playing running back for the team. Tahj & his teammates won The Championship against the number one seed! Tahj journey playing QB had begun. Tahj is a very versatile player in football & basketball. He can play multiple positions on offense & defensive sides in football. He is combo guard in basketball.
