You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Tamia loves playing softball because it gives her a place where she feels confident, a place she feels important, and to be part of a team that feels more like family. She enjoys the excitement of the game, the support she offers her teammates and the challenges it brings. For Tamia softball isn't just a sport but a platform where she feels strong, a part of something greater than herself, and where she can truly be herself.
Tamia is inspired by her dad, both on and off the softball field. He's her biggest supporter, he's always there to encourage her to continue to work hard, stay positive, and never give up, no matter the challenge big or small. Watching his strength and dedication movies her everyday. His belief in her, especially though her journey with autism, reminds her that anything is possible when you put God first and lean on her faith. Her mom and family has also been a pivotal part of her success.
I remember a game when Tamia's team was down by 1 run she got a hit stole on overthrow and won the game needless to say she got the game ball that game.
