One of the things Tanner loves about playing Lacrosse and Football is the immense camaraderie they have. The team work they display to be better together. He loves that they each play an intricate part on the field but he knows they don't matter if they don't play as a team. He also loves the adrenaline rush he gets when he scores.
His dad has always inspired him. He has always looked up to him and has strived to achieve the drive his dad has. His father is a Smoke Jumper and works so hard for his country. Tanner has always said, "I hope I can carry myself on and off the field like Dad does in his every day life. I want to be seen, like he is by other people."
At his final Lacrosse tournament of his club career, his coach said to him and another LSM position, "you boys aren't good enough to play your position". The coach was upset with how the whole team was playing, but pinned it on these two. The team lost that game because of that decision. Tanner came to me after telling me why he didn't play LSM and my son said, "It's okay mom, I have one more game and I am going to play my heart out for my team no matter what. That's what matters. Proud moment!
