One of my proudest moments was when Tariq didn’t make the 6th grade track team. Instead of giving up, he worked harder, made the team in 7th grade, and discovered his talent for triple jump. He became so skilled that he represented Buford Middle School at the state championship. His determination, growth, and resilience through adversity have been inspiring to watch.
