Join the CompetitionTay loves to compete and be with all his teammates. He is proud of be part of the team and working towards the end goal with all of his friends/teammates.
Steph Curry and Kobe are his idols. But Marlon, Tay's dad is a huge part of why Tay loves all sports, but specifically basketball. They play knockout and do shooting drills every day, Tay dribbles or throws a football/baseball on the walk home from school every single day.
Tay played on a flag football team this year and went to the semi-finals. Within 5 minutes they were down 21 - 0. I could see on his face that he was letting the score get him down. The coach called a TO, made adjustments & then the team came out on fire. They played amazing defense (other team didn't score again) & Tay scored the winning touchdown in the last minute. It was this game that I hope he never forgets - he learned to never give up, to never let up & his love for sports magnified.
