What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves baseball because it pushes him to be better every day. He thrives on being challenged and embraces the chance to play with older, more experienced players learning from them, growing alongside them, and proving he belongs. The game has taught him discipline, resilience, and teamwork, but most importantly, it’s given him friendships, confidence, and a place to pour his heart into something he truly loves. For Taylon, baseball isn’t just a sports it’s a passion, and a dream.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My mom, a proud Navy war veteran, is my biggest inspiration both in life and on the baseball field. She has shown me what true strength looks like not just physical strength, but emotional and mental toughness. Through every challenge she faces, she never backs down. Instead, she pushes forward with courage, determination, and a heart that never quits. Her sacrifices, discipline and love are the reason I play the game the way I do respecting my teammates, working hard, and always giving my best.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

He was 8 and invited to play on a 12U team. He was hesitant due to his size but he accepted the challenge. That night, he struggled at the plate, striking out multiple times becoming visibly discouraged. With tears forming he quietly stepped away, took a moment and said a prayer. He returned to the game with renewed focus, confidence, and heart and went on to have an outstanding night. That moment revealed more than just skill; it revealed strength, resilience, and the mindset of a true athlete.
