My anxiety ridden child tried 4 sports before she found her love for hockey. It became her love and she currently plays on 3 teams.

Teagen loves helping her team to their victories and supporting each other in their losses. She also loves that she can express herself through the way she plays. When she steps on the ice she becomes a whole different person focused on what needs to be accomplished.
Teagen is inspired by her teammates on the ice, they support each other to become better at every practice and game. She is also inspired from the many years watching her older brother play hockey. Off the ice she is inspired to get better through her own workouts to get stronger and faster.
I am proud of how far Teagen has come since she started playing sports at 5. She was afraid and filled with anxiety because all the people could see her and she did not like that. She decided to try hockey because she had the helmet to hide behind. She has grown so much mentally and physically in this sport and excels in her skating and she is a great teammate.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
