What Thea loves most about rugby and Australian football is the community that makes up the sport and the awesome people she gets to meet every day. She loves the physicality, intensity, and challenge both sports bring. Thea is a powerful, determined, and impactful player who takes lessons from everything she does and adds them to her skill toolbox. She embodies what it means to be a team player, driven, coachable, and always lifting up the people around her.
Krissy Scurfield inspires Thea more than anyone—on and off the field. As her personal trainer, Krissy leads by example with passion, discipline, and heart. Thea looks up to her not only for how hard she works and how far she’s come in her sport, but for the kindness and love she brings into everything she does. Krissy motivates Thea to push harder in the gym, chase her goals without fear, and become the strongest, most confident version of herself every day.
With Thea, it’s hard to choose just one moment because there are so many beautiful ones. But one of the proudest was watching her play in Florida at Tropical 7s. She played with heart, grit, and joy, working so well with her team. The effort she put into every play was unmatched, and the countless smiles she wore on and off the pitch showed just how much she loves the game. It was a moment that captured her spirit perfectly.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
