Thea loves moving and being active. She thrives with the leadership roles she takes on with each and every team she plays with. She loves the challenge and watching the improvement she gets through practice and determination. Her discipline to continuous training and desire to improve is admirable. Sport and practice keeps her busy and makes her feel happy and successful. Thea loves how sport allows her to express who she is and allows her to be the greatest version of herself.
Thea draws inspiration from her mother, who has always made her believe she can accomplish anything. Her mother has shown her that while talent is important, it’s the extra effort that truly leads to success. In addition to her mother, Thea looks up to professional soccer players like Neymar and Mbappé. She studies their techniques closely and works to integrate their skills into her own game. From them, she has learned to stay grounded in victory and to find value and growth in defeat.
It's hard to pinpoint one defining moment. Every time Thea steps onto the pitch, court, or track, she gives it her all—pushing herself to the limit and always being the first to encourage her teammates and opponents. One moment that stands out was last summer when her soccer team made it to provincials after a challenging start to the season. Seeing the joy on her face, knowing she had earned her moment to shine against the top teams in Alberta in a sport she loves filled me with immense pride.
