Receive Text UpdatesThomas loves the friendships he has with his teammates the most. He encourages and supports the other athletes he plays with and tries to lead through positive example, the spirit of good sportsmanship.
On the field, Thomas has been inspired by his youth coach Jamal Bates, who he still keeps in contact with. Jamal always encouraged Thomas to do his best, to lead by example and that the first part of being a student/athlete was "student." Off the field, Thomas is inspired by his Pappa (grandfather.). As domestic violence survivors, his Pappa is the role model in his life and taught him about patience, respect and kindness to others. That you give 100% on the field, then shake hands in the end.
I could list the awards he's won, or the championships his teams have won, but it's honestly the everyday little things that make me proudest. When Thomas encourages his teammates to not give up during a hard game, when a friend wants to quit and Thomas supports them and does extra workouts with them to build up their confidence. When he helps his little sister with her track&field, or her field hockey, or her homework. Those moments make me most proud
