Join the CompetitionThe competitiveness and grind to be successful. He is constantly competing and loves nothing more than to challenge himself and his peers to be the best at whatever they are doing. He’s always been good at whatever he’s set his mind towards and has excelled extremely in track and wrestling this following year.
His dad has always pushed him in all and any sport he has chosen to compete in. His dad was a hall of fame running back and Wittenberg which stemmed his love for football but also his competitive nature. They have always been wrestling or playing disc golf or competing and some way, shape or form which partially aids his passion to win and be the best.
A thought that stands out to me specifically in the area of wrestling and pole vault is his support, encouragement and friendship with his competitors. He gets excited for their success and wins as if it were his own. That is a selfless characteristic that I am proud of. Another proud moment is watching him push through injuries, sickness, mental and physical exhaustion. Not many teenagers can live the kind of grind that TJ lives.
