Toshi loves seeing newcomers join Taekwondo and watching them grow. He enjoys helping them learn skills he’s mastered, and finds it really fun and rewarding when they finally get it. For him, it’s not just about getting better himself; it’s about being part of a community where everyone supports each other and improves together.
Toshi is inspired by his teammates because they constantly push him to learn new things and become a better martial artist. He appreciates how they help him improve his technique and how they all support each other through challenges. Their dedication and teamwork motivate him to keep growing and giving his best every day.
I was proud when Toshi learned 3 routines for one competition and volunteered all day when he heard they were short on help, then competed. He also adapted to a last-minute routine change at Nationals and helped his team earn bronze. His ability to stay calm, flexible, and uplifting in a high-stress moment showed true leadership, sportsmanship, and maturity beyond his years.
