TJ plays football but focuses on basketball. At 13, 5’9 point guard, team player, humble, levelheaded, trusted and respected by many.

His selfless love for basketball is incredible. Although he can read the court, players, set up plays, make baskets and coach games at the speed of lightning, when the buzzer sounds, he proudly believes that that every player is going to “eat”. Win, lose or draw!
TJ known as a quiet and shy guy, his fearless heart, personality and passion is driven by himself. When the time comes for practice and games, his game face is on. Cheering and challenging him, you’ll find his mother, four siblings, and coaches. Off the field and court, he’s playing his game, dribbling a ball in a random parking lot, teaching is baby brother the game of basketball, loving on his younger sisters, play fight with his older sister and being a protector of his mother.
TJ recently experienced the death of a teammate. The first thing he did was put up buckets for his “boy”. He then wanted to reach out to check on his mother. Although he’s driven, you’ll find him pointing to the sky at games letting his boy know that they’re still in it together. TJ is also known to share snacks, food or drinks. Again, everyone eats!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
