Tristan is taking honors classes, plays JV basketball and plays percussion in band. He has loved basketball his whole life!

Tristan loves how basketball gives him a sense of focus, freedom, and joy. He has amazing court vision and is a true floor general as a point guard. It’s where he clears his mind, connects with teammates, and feels closest to his true self. He has grown up and played with most of his teammates since 1st grade and they are all friends off of the court as well.
Tristan is deeply inspired by his older brother, an Army veteran who passed away in 2024. His brother’s strength, service, and love for him fuel Tristan’s determination every day. His big brother loved basketball and they always played together. That’s where his love of the game was born.
I’m proudest of Tristan’s strength in making the JV team and continuing to excel in school and band—all while grieving the loss of his brother. He plays with heart and courage and shows up for his teammates just like they showed up for him during his hardest moments.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
