Who inspires me off the field is my Mom. I’ve watched her be a single mother with little help, work full time and also always show up for me. I have watched her remain strong through the worst of any situation and how she always makes sure I am good and pushes me to be great on and off the field.
The one moment that makes me the proudest is when Tyler competed in the 2024 AAU Junior Olympics. He suffered a sprained toe and was advised by doctors to consider forgoing the remainder of the competition to rest and heel his toe. After thinking about it, he decided to return to the competition, as forgoing would have disqualified his entire relay team and he didn’t want to let them down. They placed 6th in the country and received a bronze medal. His determination to never give up is admirable
