What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Tyler is a true student of the game and studies his favorite players religiously. He uses his creativity and imagination to make himself a legitimate threat on the court. Whether it's at 6 AM or 10 PM, Tyler is constantly working to improve and perfect his craft. He loves the challenge and joy that basketball brings, but what he loves the most is the way basketball builds character and teaches him about life.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Tyler's coach, David “D Mo” Moore is a true inspiration. DMo, who has trained many pro and D1 college basketball players, saw something special in Tyler and believed in him from day one. DMo took Tyler under his wings and helped him cultivate his talent to the fullest. More importantly, DMo cares about Tyler as a person by always reaching out to see how he's doing and keeping him accountable. The dedication DMo pours into Tyler is second to none and it pushes him to become a better athlete.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Ever since Tyler started playing basketball, he played up, competing against bigger, faster, and more skilled players. Tyler hit many game winners and gained numerous recognitions, but his proudest moment was when he helped his team make a 14-0 run in the final two minutes of a playoff game (6 AST, 2 STL, 1 REB, 0 FGA in two mins) to force OT. Having the ability to take control of games when needed most, Tyler always makes sure to get all of his teammates involved and leads them to wins.
