You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
I love the atmosphere that comes from all of these sports, the community support I feel with football, being able to feed off the crowds energy is unlike anything, the dedication from the soccer fans is unlike any other sport I’ve seen. The teammates I’ve had and coach support has been invaluable over these years, from rec league sports through club and high school activities.
My parents and siblings are my biggest inspirations and supporters. Growing up with two older sisters who also had busy schedules they found a way to make it to all of our activities, we all watched each others practices and games. And as I’ve gotten busier their dedication to making it all work has never stopped. My coaches over the years who have encouraged me and pushed me to be better kept me in love with the sport I loved first, soccer, and is what encouraged me to try other sports.
Their first season in cross country I remember thinking nothing of the fact that Tyler was going back to cheer on the remaining runners on the course, even though he was exhausted, he had grown up in team sports and it was what he knew, get us all to the finish line not just himself. But the reaction his coach had, about him pushing the others to finish strong and making sure no one was forgotten was one of the proudest moments for me as his mom.
