Join the CompetitionI love playing sports because it pushes me to be my best—physically and mentally. It builds discipline, confidence, and friendships. I thrive in the energy of competition and love the feeling of achieving goals with my team. Sports teach me how to handle wins and losses with grace, and they give me a chance to inspire others, especially my little brother. On the field or track, I feel unstoppable—it’s where I belong and where I grow every day.
Sports mean more to me than just winning or stats. When I’m out there playing or running, I think about my little brother and how strong he is every single day. He has arthrogryposis and can’t walk, but that never stops him from smiling, supporting me, and believing I can do anything. So when I train, I push harder—for him. He inspires me to lead, to compete with heart, and to never take my ability for granted. He’s my motivation every time I step on the field or the track.
Its been a few but One of more recent is just this past weekend in the 4x400m finals for the AAU Championship. He false start then came back took a deep breath reset in the blocks then ran a phenomenal 1st leg to help put his Team in position to win. He is only in 7th grade and to be able to do that speaks volumes about his focus and determination.
